Today everyone was welcomed back to GWU and classes with rain. Returning from Fall Break is hard, but cold, rainy weather makes it even harder!  The high is only in the 50s today with near constant rain! Not motivating weather for returning back to classes. The forecast is predicting rain all week!

I called an Executive Officers and Committee Chair meeting today for the Student Nurses Association. Three weeks ago, the SNA Executive Officers and I appointed committee chairs/co-chairs for all the SNA committees: Service Learning, Activities, Publicity, Constitution and Bylaws, Membership, Speakers Bureau, and Fundraising. We all met today and talked about the different projects and events that we would do for SNA. Service Learning is preparing and coordinating the SNA booth for Octoberfest on October 29th. Activities committee is planning a bowling night for all SNA members in November. Fundraising is working on ordering and selling the GWU School of Nursing t-shirt, just like we did last year. I’m very excited about all the people I have working with me in SNA and all the projects, activities, and fundraisers we will be doing throughout the year!
